Introduction to Teaching Reading

Literacy practitioners are looking for alternate methods for training volunteer literacy tutors. The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the need. This session is part of a series of virtual tutor training sessions. These sessions are a first step to develop a current, relevant training for literacy programs that can be delivered in a variety of formats. In this session tutors will develop knowledge and strategies to work with adult learners with reading goals. This slide presentation is intended to accompany the Adult Literacy Program: Virtual Tutor Training guidebook.
