The Decoda Literacy Library

Our library is for anyone in British Columbia who has an interest in adult, youth and family literacy. You can borrow materials by mail for free, anytime. We have over 5,000 books, DVDs and other materials on subjects spanning the full spectrum of literacy. For any questions, you can ask our librarian.

Search the library catalogue

Our library is getting an update and we’re looking forward to a brand new, user-friendly library catalogue.  Meanwhile, you can search the Decoda Library collection from the Outlook Online catalogue. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Using an up-to-date browser (and not Internet Explorer), copy and paste the following URL into the address box.  bcuc-agent.auto-graphics.com/mvc?cid=bcuc&lid=bvay&reset=force   (This will take you to a screen that has ‘Decoda Literacy Library’ in the top left corner.)
  2. Click the ‘Advanced’ button on the top right hand of the screen.
  3. On the Advanced screen, under ‘Narrow Your Search’ (bottom left corner), click the arrow next to ‘Libraries’ to get a drop down box.
  4. In the drop-down box, choose Literacy BC (this is Decoda’s collection).
  5. Start searching.  If you need help, email Tina at library@decoda.ca .
