Embedding Literacy & Essential Skills: Lessons from our research

A discussion of the Embedding Literacy and Essential Skills project, which investigated strategies for the development of sustainable, practical workplace literacy programs that could be incorporated into a work environment. The goal was to find a way to make literacy and essential skills considered a part of every workplace situation, not part of separate training sessions or one-off events. For practitioners interested in using this approach to workplace literacy, this guidebook offers four main lessons with lots of examples of what worked (and didn’t work) in this project, and includes tools to use while working on embedding literacy in the workplace.
