Description

It's Family Literacy Week and we're having a party! The Gruffalo is 25 years old this year and it's the 25th year of Family Literacy Day. The Literacy Society of the North Okanagan and the Okanagan Regional Library have teamed to host a celebration. The event starts with a Story Walk through the library, followed by a craft, games, and a chance to meet a Gruffalo! Prizes to be won and treats will be served. From noon to 1pm, there is also a reading workshop for parent and guardians with developing readers 5 - 12yrs. Learn some strategies that will help to build a strong, confident reader. Pre- registration required. Email coordinator@literacysociety.ca or call 250-275-3117. Both events take place on Saturday, January 27th at the Okanagan Regional Library, Vernon Branch.
