Every Wednesday from January 24th to April 24th, The Family Place and Crawford Bay Elementary will partner for their SEY2KT: Strengthening The Early Years to Kindergarten Transitions program, STEPPING STONES! And what better week to begin then Family Literacy Week! This program is for families with children ages 4-5 years who will begin Kindergarten in the fall. Freeplay, socialization, penmanship, practice with listening and participation skills are all part of the curriculum. And with Emotional Intelligence Workshops, the use of multiple evidence based approaches are used to increase children's SEL skills. By building a relationship with their future classmates and teachers, and by getting to know the way the classroom is run, we hope to make the transition to Kindergarten that much easier. Wednesdays: Stepping Stones 9:00am -9:50am; Strong Start 10:00am-12:00pm.
