Family Literacy Matters – More Than Ever!
COVID-19 has created big changes for families. In addition to a rapid growth in at-home activities, there have been new expectations and changes in family dynamics. Many changes haven’t been easy and have been accompanied by stress.
Family literacy has a role to play in helping families respond to COVID-19, building resilience in adults and children, and assisting in recovery post-pandemic.
Family Literacy in the Time of COVID-19: Impacts Now and Moving Forward, a webinar with Denny Taylor, takes a global view of what can be done through family literacy initiatives to support children and families and shares lessons learned from previous catastrophic events. The 40 minute webinar is followed by an extended discussion.
